uMkhuze Game Reserve

Mkhuze Game Reserve is a paradise of looping roads, hides, and panoramic views. Its thick, dense grasslands represent the true African landscape of days gone by! uMkuze Game Reserve has been a protected area since 1912.

The 400 square kilometre reserve has an astonishing diversity of natural habitats, from the eastern slopes of the Lebombo Mountains along its eastern boundary, to broad stretches of acacia savannah, swamps and a variety of woodlands and riverine forest. 

uMkhuze boasts the Big 4, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard, and incredibly over 400 species of birdlife! Crocodile, pelicans, and geese gather during various time of the year.
